Aralects began with a simple frustration: after years of studying Arabic, real‑world conversations still felt out of reach. Textbook Arabic couldn’t capture the flow of street speech across Cairo, Beirut, or Dubai. So we set out to build a language‑learning app designed from the ground up for authentic, dialect‑driven dialogue.
That obsession with Arabic diglossia pulled us somewhere unexpected. Organizations started coming to us for help shipping AI features, especially in Arabic and dialect‑heavy contexts. It was either pivot or perish.
